The Threat (my choice book reprt)

The main character in my book was Jake. He is the leader of the Animorphs, a group of humans, an alien, and a hawk boy. Jake understands the other Anmorph's strengths and their weaknesses. He is kind because he always looks at how his choices affect the rest of the group and he feels that if somebody gets hurt that it is his fault. If things work out for them then he compliments the other Animorphs on a job well done and if they fail or screw up he takes the blame, even if it wasn’t his fault. When he is scared he doesn’t show it he keeps it to himself so that the others will feel safer.  Another thing Jake is thoughtful, he looks at the situation from all angles before rushing into things, he looks  at all of the possible outcomes and goes through all of his strategies so that he has the best chance of surviving and the least chance of dying while still doing damage to the bad guys.  When the have to make big decisions he states the possible outcomes and then he asks the Animorphs what they think and then they vote. If somebody doesn’t want to go on one of the “missions” then they can skip it, and he wouldn’t make you feel bad. When they were in a fight he helps them to think of a way to out-smart their opponents and he warns them to be careful when they get cocky. He always has the other Animorphs backs. Jake is also considerate,  he thinks about how badly they need to do something, if it isn’t a have to do thing then he makes it a side job, first priority is almost always the dangerous missions to Jake. When their lives are most at stake he asks everybody several time are they sure that they want to do it. They then come up with several plans in case something happens to any of the other Animorphs.  He always makes sure that they have the right “morphs” to turn into and that they are capable of what they intend to do and that they are strong enough to survive being shot at and attacked.  Jake is also understanding, he knows when you have to stay home you have to and that sometimes certain people just can’t  handle it at the time and need a break, he is fine with that. Those are some of the major characteristics of Jake in my story hope you liked it.
Even though the series is written in several different characters point of view, I think that this story was written in Jake’s point of view because it is more meaningful in his perspective. A good example is when Jake has to decide what they are going to do to stop the “bad guys” (yeerks) from taking over the human race as their slaves, literally. He is thinking to himself a lot then, and if it was in a different characters point of view we would know what he was thinking in his head.  One other thing is that it makes the book more interesting when it is written from Jake’s perspective instead of the others, because he makes all of the decisions in this story. In the book Jake’s choices are affected by the things that he already knows and how he feels about others and how to handle people.  If it was written in one of the other characters point of view the story would have been different, because, every character has their own thoughts on a subject and they all do things in a different way.  If the book was written from Marco’s point of view there would be different “thoughts” in the book. Like how he thought they should handle things and the little comments he thinks of that he doesn’t always keep to himself would probably affect how he thinks of others.  If the book was written by David’s point of view it would be drastically different because he is trying to kill all of the other Animorphs. He wants to be the only one to be able to morph into other animals and he wants the “blue box” that allows you to morph once you touch it. He would have been scheming and plotting how to take them all out, how to attack, when to strike a blow, who to take out first, and where to hide, so the story would then be way different.  One intriguing point of view that came from the book being in Jake’s point of view is that he knew how to “use” every one of the Animorphs and how to plan a way to get David before David got them.  Jake had all sorts of ideas going through his head. He only had a little time to do what he wanted to do and he thought of the quickest and fastest way to destroy David.

And that is my book report for the story The Threat.

Bailey (Memoir #2)

One bright, warm, and breezy day when I was  two feet tall and still growing, my Mom and my Dad decided to buy a dog. We all drove in our little Dodge Grand Caravan down to the humain society to pick out a furry, friendly, little companion. We looked at different dogs for almost half an hour until we saw one lonely, short, cute, brown, black, and white little beagle, Bailey. We desided to buy Bailey and we took her home that very afternoon. When we got home the first thing we did was put on her shiny new red leash and collar and took her for a walk around our neighborhood, I was just giddy with glee from the thought that this dog was MY dog.

One day my Mom maid some Red Barren pizzas, a three meat and a pepperoini. After they were done baking she left them out to cool on top of our stove. When we waltzed into the house again the first thing that we saw was sauce, lots and lots of sauce, and when we looked at the stove-top we were very shocked. The three meat pizza was gone, well... atleast all of the stuff that was surposed to be on the crust was gone. we walked in closer and saw that there was evidence of who devowared the pizza and left a huge mess all over the kitchen, on the pizza there was a lone paw print. As soon as we reallized it was Bailey that did this we looked at the place where our three foot tall gate was surposed to be lodged between two of our hallway's walls, it ws lieying on the floor. and then we searched, the house following the trail of pizza sauce paw prints over linolium and on now stained carpet until... we found our culprit. In the middle of our newly carpeted living room crouching down, and depositing the evidence of the left over pizza onto our snowy white fuzzy carpet. We just stared and stared, at her fur, stained an eerie orangie read, her paws, crimsom crust hardening between her toes, and her muzzel, caked with the juices of her treat and then she yawned. Her mouth was gaping open, and we could see the tiny torn-up chuncks of half chewed sausage and the thin strings of peperoni still stuck between her teeth. A few weeks later a got a red rash on my nose my Mom and Dad said that I must be allergic to dogs. And that was the end of Bailey, that weekend we sold her to two teens and I never saw her again.

I am not allergic to dogs.
